The Foundation accepts monetary gifts, in-kind donations, memorials from loved ones, and estate bequests.

How the Foundation helps the District:

The Foundation has sponsored an annual golf tournament as a major fundraiser for more than 10 years. Donations are also regularly solicited from alumni, local businesses, and community members.  The Foundation provides recognition for classes celebrating their 25th and 50th graduation anniversaries at the high school court warming festivities.

Through the Foundation, funds have been available to help purchase technology for classrooms in the form of computers, graphing calculators, and multimedia projectors.  Band instruments and uniforms, choir robes, track hurdles, start up costs for the football program, and support for facility needs (such as air conditioning in classrooms) have been provided. Assistance has been provided to help the Fine Arts Department travel to national venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City when asked to perform there. Finally, four to eight academic scholarships have been presented to seniors each year for more than a decade.  To date, well over $100,000.00 has been raised and used to directly assist the students of Cole Camp!

Future needs and improvements:

The Foundation is currently preparing to support the School’s strategic plan for the future of the District. These plans include:

ü  an alternative school to help non-traditional students achieve academic success.

ü  technological updates to ensure students are prepared for the future.

ü  possibility of every student being issued a laptop for school work.

ü  A dream of the Foundation would be to raise funds for a new stand alone 500-600 seat fine arts auditorium. This facility would primarily be used for the music and drama departments, as well as other community activities and concerts as needed.
